Start with the tables that need practice
Ask the learner to try a few facts before choosing the range. If the 2s and 5s are already familiar, focus the next sheet on less familiar tables instead of repeating everything.
Open this preset in the studio and change From table, To table and Multiplications shown. Each button here opens a single multiplication-table section.
Use the study grid, then try without it
Read a row of the filled reference sheet together and connect it to equal groups. For 7 × 4, draw four groups of seven or seven groups of four and count the total, 28.
Next, cover the filled reference sheet and attempt the recall activity. Compare answers afterwards and mark a few facts to revisit. Keep the reference available when the aim is learning the facts rather than testing recall.
Work out an unfamiliar fact from a known one
For 7 × 8, use 5 × 8 = 40 and 2 × 8 = 16, then add 40 + 16 = 56. Alternatively, use 7 × 7 = 49 and add another 7. Ask which route the learner finds easiest to explain.
For a mixed worksheet, watch for counting or addition errors separately from recall. A correct strategy with a counting mistake calls for different practice from a fact the learner cannot yet represent.
Print another version for the next practice session
The multiplication-table sheet uses the facts in order, so New numbers does not change it. To vary practice, change the table range or add a multiplication exercise tile. The reference button shows the completed facts. You can also enable an answer key in the studio when you want a separate checking sheet.
